COLOSSEUM TICKETS
There are many options available when it comes to purchasing tickets to the Colosseum and Roman Forum/Palatine Hill*. The standard ticket option is no frills: a timed ticket that includes the Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine Hill. So if you want to keep it simple, the standard option is the most straightforward. The standard ticket is valid for 1 entrance to the Colosseum and 1 entrance to the Roman Forum/Palatine Hill. If you plan to visit the Roman Forum/Palatine Hill, you must do so before your ticket expires (24 hours from the reservation time). There are, however, many more options available should you want to see more of what the site has to offer.
The Full Experience ticket refers to the restricted areas of the Colosseum and there are three different options. The Full Experience + Arena allows you to access the Arena and stand center stage in the Colosseum. The Full Experience + Underground levels grants you access to the Underground area of the Colosseum as well as the Arena stage. The Full Experience + Underground and Level III includes access to the Arena, Underground and the Upper Tier of the Colosseum. All Full Experience tickets are valid for 2 days, this refers to the entrance of the Roman Forum/Palatine Hill, the ticket is ONLY VALID for the Colosseum portion at the specified date and time.
Tickets prices vary depending on which areas you would like to visit. There are also reduced ticket prices for children (under 18 years of age with valid ID) and students (EU/Schengen only, under 26 years of age with ID proving citizenship). All reservation tickets have a €2.00 reservation fee.

*Please note that the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill are considered a combination site and are connected. The ticket can only be used once at the Roman Forum entrance OR the Palatine Hill entrance. Make sure to visit both areas with the same entrance.
**An official ID (passport, identity card) is required to prove either age or nationality. Without an ID you may be denied entry and, as the tickets are subject to availability, there may be no other available times. Make sure to calculate the age of students and children for the date that the ticket will be used, not the time of purchase.
***The Underground and Upper level tickets include a guide that will accompany you to the restricted areas. These tickets are subject to availability. Children under 12 years of age, with official ID, can be reserved for only the €2.00 reservation fee.The languages available are: English, Spanish, and Italian.
